Anna Joong

Dr. Anna Joong is a pediatric cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. She is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
She completed medical school at McMaster University in Canada, followed by pediatric residency and Chief Residency at New York University. She completed fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Fellow, and advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiomyopathy, Heart Failure, and Transplantation.
